Raj Datta

Raj Datta is the President of Software AG, North America and a member of the Board of Directors of Software AG Government Solutions. As the President of North America, Mr. Datta acts as a visionary, customer centric, driven executive, and inspirational leader to the organization. Mr. Datta has full responsibility for go to market, including sales, presales, marketing, services, finance, and support as well as all operational responsibilities leading the growth of the commercial North America market.

Mr. Datta brings with him 20+ years of enterprise IT experience, most recently as the Chief Revenue Officer at CiBO Technologies, a science-based technology organization. During his tenure at CiBO, Mr. Datta was responsible for all revenue generating processes within the company, and was accountable for driving better integration and alignment between all revenue-related functions.

Prior to his role at CiBO, Mr. Datta spent 19 years at IBM holding numerous leadership roles, both nationally and globally. His last role at IBM was the Vice President of Cloud, Cognitive and Analytics for the Distribution (Retail, CPG and Travel / Transportation) Market in North America. He was also responsible for the Distribution Market’s Blockchain and Digital Transformation business. Prior to those roles, Mr. Datta held various leadership positions in IBM’s Global Services Division and IBM’s Systems and Technology Group.

Mr. Datta holds a M.B.A in Marketing and Finance from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Illinois, Urbana.
